Interview with Remco Hendriks (Account Manager export)

What makes it most valuable for you as an account manager to attend EICMA?

“For me, it’s valuable because I can speak with many existing customers and potential new clients in a relatively short period of time. Since I am responsible for the Italian market, it’s especially interesting that EICMA takes place in Italy. This means that many of our Italian customers are also present with their own stands. 

Additionally, EICMA provides a platform to promote our Landport distributor and attract potential new clients. The brand awareness we gain here is crucial, as EICMA is the premier European trade show for motorsports.”

Can you share how feedback from contacts at EICMA has helped us improve our products?

“The feedback we receive is overwhelmingly positive and helps us continue to innovate. Customers and prospects appreciate our extensive and complete product range. We often hear that we offer a wide variety of products for every technology, which sets us apart from the competition. For example, last year we presented our new packaging designs for powersports batteries, and they were very well received. This kind of direct feedback is invaluable for us to further improve our products and presentation.”

How do you see the role of electric vehicles and energy storage solutions evolving in the future of the powersports market?

“In previous editions of EICMA, you’d hardly see any electric vehicles, but that has changed in recent years. There is a clear shift towards electric vehicles, and with that, towards lithium batteries. While I expect this trend to continue growing, I don’t think it will completely replace traditional combustion engines. True motorsport enthusiasts, who often ride as a hobby, still prefer combustion engines for the unique riding experience and sound. Electric motorcycles will find their place but won’t dominate the market.”
